Innovative Permeation Technologies for Sustainable Food Packaging and Extended Shelf Life

  • Importance of permeation analysis in food packaging
  • Role in shelf-life determination and product protection
  • Oxygen transmission rate (OTR): definition & measurement
  • Relationship to polymer structure and barrier performance
  • Regulatory and international standards (ASTM, ISO, JIS)

Speaker information/ background/achievement:

Mr. Alex He, born in 1981, graduated from Hong Kong University with an MBA degree and joined MOCON Inc. in 2006. He brings over 20 years of expertise in permeation, MAP, and leak testing, with applications across the food, pharmaceutical, medical, and electronic materials industries. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with regional customers and distributors in China, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand.
