Following the huge success of the 1st IFRC 2017 and the 2nd IFRC 2019, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), as the country’s forerunner institution in food and agriculture, is once again taking the initiative to organise the 3rd IFRC 2024.
Following the huge success of the 1st IFRC 2017 and the 2nd IFRC 2019, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM), as the country’s forerunner institution in food and agriculture, is once again taking the initiative to organise the 3rd IFRC 2024.
A lunch talk sponsored by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) will be held on the 7th August 2024, 12.30PM at Rafflesia Ballroom. The speaker is Mr. Abdullah Zawawi Bin Mohamed, currently the Head of Robotics and Product Development at SD Guthrie Berhad, will talk on the topic of “Technology Advancements in the Oil Palm Plantation Sector for Producing High-Quality Oil”. His mission is to develop robotics solutions that can help SD Guthrie to increase the operational efficiency as well as reducing the reliance on the foreign workers in their operations. Mr. Zawawi was the first robotics engineer at PETRONAS and was responsible of the development of autonomous drone for the oil and gas applications. He also spent several years with IT companies as presales consultant and data scientist. Mr Zawawi earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan.
