IMPROVING PRODUCTIVITY AND BUSINESS REVENUE – WHERE ARE THE OPPORTUNITIES AND HOW TO MANAGE YOUR OPERATIONS

Objectives:
  • To equip the participants with the knowledge to improve the productivity and revenue performance of food and beverage operations.
  • To introduce means to maximize the operation outputs by identifying and leveraging the revenue opportunities, as well as streamlining business operations.
  • To critically diagnose their operation strategies, tactics, and tools and develop an action plan.

    Dr. Boo Huey Chern

    Affiliation: YTB (Singapore) Pte Ltd
    Speaker information/ background/achievements:  Dr. Huey Chern Boo is the Executive Director of YTB (Singapore) Pte Ltd. Prior to that, she worked at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), East Asia School of Business, and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She taught Revenue Management, Hotel Project Management, Operations Management, and Change Management. While pursuing her postgraduate degree in the US, she worked as an Operations Assistant for a school foodservice company and as a hotel customer service staff.  Dr. Boo had previously worked with many hospitality industry partners including IHG, Pan Pacific Hotel, Hotel Andaz, Furama Riverfront Hotel, Association of Singapore Attractions, Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS), PTS Impression Sdn. Bhd., Perfect Food Sdn. Bhd., Mega Innovative Ingredients Sdn. Bhd., and Sushi Kin Sdn. Bhd.  Dr. Boo holds a Master’s in Restaurant, Hotel, Institutional and Tourism Management from Purdue University and a PhD in Hospitality Management from Pennsylvania State University.
