Theory and Hands-On Workshop on Rheological Characterization Using Haake Mars 40 and Mars 60 Rheometers

  • Introduction to Rheology
  • Basic principles: viscosity, elasticity, shear stress and shear rate.
  • Newtonian and Non-Newtonian behaviours.
  • Overview of Haake Mars 40 and Mars 60 Rheometers
  • System design, components and specifications.
  • Key differences between Mars 40 and Mars 60.
  • Instrument Operation and Calibration
  • Setup procedures and geometry selection.
  • Calibration and verification methods.
  • Hands-On Practical Session
  • Conducting flow, oscillatory and creep tests.
  • Data collection and troubleshooting common issues.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation
  • Analysis of rheological parameters and curves.
  • Application-based case studies.
